Created by the curator and talent hunter Charlotte Léouzon, VA VOOM is the result of 15 years experience in the field of visual arts, fashion, traditional film and advanced digital productions.
Connected to a vast artistic network, VA VOOM is permanently looking for imaginative thinking, innovative ideas and inspirational pieces. A daily based radar/curiosity drives the curation of a great diversity of projects like exhibitions, installations, video programs, set design, creative shop windows ideas or any kind of artistic based project.

Talent Scouting
As an explorator of the web, the film festivals and the new forms of moving images, VA VOOM is a multidisciplinary treasure hunting studio, sourcing a wide range of talents, from the emerging fine artists to the young filmmakers or the groundbreaking new medias thinker. Rather than representing talents, VA VOOM selects appropriate artists for each commission, creating exciting opportunities for artists and designers.
Curating
Charlotte Léouzon is a free lance art curator. In collaboration with the artists, she conceives curatorial projects and visuals contents for art institutions, as well as temporary exhibitions for art galleries.
Creative Consulting
VA VOOM is a match-making laboratory, encouraging cross overs collaborations. As a captor of influences and a creative think tank, VA VOOM curates projects between artists and corporate clients or public sector. The studio provides artistic direction consultation and emerging talents researches, able to fit to a brand or a project. VA VOOM is also involved in consultancy for art galleries.
Video Programs
VA VOOM conceives video scenographies for special events as well as video-collages for art institutions, or specific screenings for advertising agencies. The studio also compiles programs for DVD editors.
VA VOOM TV
VA VOOM is a radar detector and likes to curate the web. VA VOOM TV is an online gallery presenting a selection of creative pieces, visually inspiring and emotionally stimulating. The selection is either curating the web or presenting some VA VOOM/Charlotte Léouzon’s personal projects.
Bio
In the 90’s, Charlotte Léouzon has worked as a journalist for Liberation reporting on social issues whilst creating several cultural programmes for Radio France. For a little while, she moved into public relations with the famous parisian fashion press office of Catherine Miran. But rapidly picked up the pen again for fashion and art magazines like Jalouse, DS, Dépêche Mode and Beaux Arts. Since 2001, she has turned quite naturally towards pictures and talent scouting for production compagnies like Première Heure, Passion Pictures, Strange Beast or Moonwalk films. In parallel, she became an independent art curator and organised several exhibitions including ‘Rock Dreams’ by the iconoclast Guy Peellaert (2003) and ‘J’ai oublié mon parapluie’ by the Belgian artist Johan Grimonprez, at the gallery Kamel Mennour (2007), while writing for artists. Her film researches led her to curate video programs for galeries and museums (Palais de Tokyo, EXIT at MAC Creteil, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature), as well as trend-setting programs for Ad Agencies (Publicis..). Eclectic, she favours works of the mind/spirit and of bold visual experimentation. Her collage videos are impressionist riffs where sense, sincerity, singularity and sensuality are intricately linked. Since 2006, she collaborates with Johan Grimonprez, author of the famous films ‘D-I-A-L History’, with whom she keeps up a deliciously subversive dialogue through a series of video collages. Their Youtubeo’theque ‘Manipulators, maybe the sky is really green and we’re just colorblind’, has been shown in prestigious international museums and festivals. In 2009, she created VA VOOM, an independent label, offbeat and protean, capitalising on fifteen years in journalism, fashion and art.
